I love the dessert.  In the mid 1990s I traveled by camel from Wadi Rum to the Gulf of Aquaba.  Here are a few photos:

This next trip was a different kind of adventure for me.  I hired one of the world's great racing sailboats with some fellow travelers, and we sailed off the Australian coast for a week and dove in the Great Barrier Reef.

On a six month trip across southeast Asia, I rented a dirt bike in northern Thailand to reach tribal villages.












 Yes, that's me with lots of hair in 1992!
